Magic and ADHD: The Door to a Whole New World
It’s hard to know what activities will be beneficial for students with ADHD, what may be too much, what won’t hold their attention. As it turns out, though, learning magic is uniquely good for kids with ADHD. It’s backed up, not only by science, but by our observations after almost a decade at School of Magic Arts.
We had a choice. We chose virtual learning for magic.
During the early part of the pandemic, folks were forced into Zoom boxes without a moment to think about how to adjust from being in-person. And it largely just didn't work. At SOMA, we threw out everything we thought we knew and developed a whole new curriculum, and teaching method, specifically for learning online.
