Magic Foundations

1:1 Online Magic Lessons for Kids (Ages 8–12)

Your child loves magic...
but learning alone often turns into confusion, frustration, or giving up.

Magic Foundations offers supportive, low-pressure 1:1 lessons that help kids enjoy learning magic, build confidence, and feel proud sharing what they know — one lesson at a time.

What Parents Notice First

Clear weekly focus

No more bouncing between random tricks. Each week has one clear focus.

They start sharing with people they trust

A quick trick for you at the kitchen counter. A “watch this” for a friend.

They stick with it

Small wins turn into steady progress and a kid who actually wants to keep going.

When Kids Learn Magic on Their Own

Most kids don’t struggle because they lack interest.

They struggle because learning alone often turns into:

  • Too many tricks and no clear place to start
  • Frustration when something doesn’t work right away
  • Knowing the secret, but freezing when it’s time to show it
  • Parents wanting to help… without knowing how

Kids don’t need more tricks.
They need someone to guide them through the early steps.

What Magic Foundations Does Differently

We keep things simple on purpose.

In each lesson, we focus on one piece of magic at a time, with an instructor guiding your child through it — noticing what’s working, offering gentle adjustments, and helping the trick feel good to perform.

There’s no rush to move on and no pressure to “be ready.”

Progress comes from repetition, encouragement, and sharing magic with people they trust.

Over time, kids stop explaining the trick and start enjoying the moment of performing it.

Meet Your Magicians

We’re Annie and Brian — co-founders of School of Magic Arts, professional magicians, and lifelong performers.

Since 2017, we’ve taught thousands of kids how to do magic in a way that builds confidence, not pressure. Our background spans theater, education, and sleight of hand, which means we care just as much about how a child feels performing as we do about the trick itself.

In 1:1 lessons, kids get our full attention. We notice when they’re rushing, when they’re stuck, and when they’re ready to be challenged — and we adjust in real time so learning stays clear, supportive, and doable.

Our approach is especially helpful for kids who:

  • Feel overwhelmed learning on their own
  • Get frustrated when something doesn’t work right away
  • Love magic but feel nervous sharing it with others

Whether your child is brand new to magic or already obsessed, they’ll be guided by instructors who know how to meet them where they are — and help them feel proud of what they can do.

How This Works

Step 1: Start with a Free Trial Lesson

Your child learns a trick they can share right away and gets a feel for what lessons are like on Zoom.

Step 2: Weekly 30-Minute 1:1 Lessons

Short, focused sessions where your child learns one fun, doable piece of magic at a time with full attention from a Head Magician.

Step 3: Natural Repetition (Without Pressure)

Kids repeat the trick because they want to share it — with you, a sibling, or a friend. That sharing is how skills start to stick.

Step 4: Confidence Builds Gradually

Over time, kids stop freezing, stop explaining the secret, and start enjoying the moment of showing someone what they can do.

When they’re ready for a bigger group experience, Magic Foundations prepares students to move into our Show Program.

What Parents Are Saying

Shyness Transformed

She told me on the way home that she's usually really nervous in public or when talking to new people. But when she does magic, she's not nervous at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my child actually stay engaged on Zoom?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes. This isn’t “sit and listen.” Your child is doing magic with their hands the entire time, and lessons are short with a clear focus.

My child already knows tricks. Is this still helpful?

keyboard_arrow_down

Absolutely. We focus on what most kids miss: how to practice, how to keep the secret, and how to present a trick so it actually feels magical.

What if my child gets frustrated or shuts down?

keyboard_arrow_down

That’s common. We work calmly and at your child’s pace — one focus, kind feedback, and room to regroup when needed.

What if this becomes another activity they quit?

keyboard_arrow_down

We build momentum through small wins and clear direction. And because it’s month-to-month, there’s no pressure to force it.

How does cancellation work?

keyboard_arrow_down

Magic Foundations is month-to-month. Just give 30 days’ notice to pause or cancel.
